Our History
Established in 1983, Ultraframe was the first offsite manufacturer of precision engineered roofing systems, starting with conservatories and moving into solid roof home extensions. With a factory that already produces over 25,000 roofs each year, Ultraframe’s expertise not only lies in technology and performance, but also in a 40-year history of manufacturing this high volume of roofs at pace with millimetre precision.
Financially robust and an exemplary trading track record, the group invests over £2 million annually in research and development to bring new groundbreaking systems to market and is recognised as the founder and pioneer of the roofing sector within the fenestration industry.
Ultrapanel Building Technologies, part of the Ultraframe group of companies, is now continuing this pioneering approach, with innovative building systems for housebuilders.

Ultraframe has perfected mass customisation manufacturing techniques and specialist design and manufacture software throughout a 40-year history in glass roofing, where there are zero tolerances and no margin for error.
With a collective 350 years of experience, the 30-plus strong award winning Ultrapanel design team have unrivalled expertise in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) protocols.
Having 2 million roofs installed to date, today we make over 25,000 roofs every year, optimising the material properties of timber, steel and and various high-quality insulation systems.
