Contract Design Engineer
Ultraframe is an established, manufacturer of building products based in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The company delivers bespoke offsite manufactured systems in volume across the whole of the UK, historically this has been focused on roofing, but the company is diversifying into a range of other products.
One of these products is a patented system which wraps a whole house with an insulative layer allowing it to be come zero carbon. This is being rolled out as part of the Mayor of London’s innovation scheme. We are looking for talented people to join the team delivering this.
The role
The candidate needs to be highly proficient in Solidworks dealing with complex configured models. The system is still being developed while installing live jobs and therefore the role will be to help with the creation of the necessary manufacturing information. This will involve liaison with the manufacturing team and working to defined timelines.
They will be based in the offices in Clitheroe and working alongside other members of the R&D team.
This is a temporary 6 month contract while the automated manufacturing systems are developed, but there could be longer term opportunities for the right person given the size of this market and the growth potential for Ultraframe.
