Ultrapanel HAUS Roof used to create a master bedroom couple with 2 apex dormers

A project in Lichfield chose the Ultrapanel HAUS Roof system to use over the double garage to form a master bedroom couple with 2 apex dormers to let is natural light.

1. FULLY ACCREDITED

All structural calculations are carried out by the inhouse chartered structural engineer at Ultrapanel Building Technologies and BBA and NHBC Accepts provides competes peace of mind.

2. THERMAL PERFORMANCE, NON COMBUSTIBLE OPTION

Ultrapanel has variable options of thermal performance components to help hit emission target. On this HAUS Roof, the thermal performance for the room in the roof and dormer is rated at 0.13 U-Value. Other panel configurations are possible to meet specific performance requirements

3. DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

The HAUS Roof features two dormer windows in the master bedroom to bring in large amounts of natural light. By installing HAUS Roof over the double garage created an additional 32m² of living space for the master bedroom. The Ultrapanel system allows for windows (and staircases) to be placed virtually anywhere in a house design, making the light-filled living spaces demanded by homeowners possible. A benefit is that the integral dormers are delivered at the same time as the roof.

4. SHORT LEAD TIMES – RELIABLE AND RESPONSIVE SUPPLY CHAIN

Thanks to an established, reliable and responsive supply chain, duration from delivery to completion for the HAUS Roof was 2.5 days. The manufacturing call off for repeat house type for HAUS Roof is two weeks. HAUS Room is available on fast lead times, either panelised or flat packed to shorten build-cycles.

5. INSTALLATION

On this build, the HAUS Roof was weather tight within a day and fully completed with 2.5 days by a team of three installers, utilising a mobile crane for only 3 working hours on site whilst the HAUS Roof structure was in place. This saved a huge amount of time compared to a traditional roof build.
